Watching Television In 2013? What You Shouldn't Miss...

By Jack Graham

2013 has seen a lot of fantastic television shows but there are some that have stood out more than others. Based on popularity, we were able to find the very best six, beginning with Game of Thrones. It's a HBO television show that is set on a fictional continent that's the home of 7 kingdoms. With the leaders of each of these kingdoms embroiled in a civil war for the iron throne, the show brings out issues about faith, loyalty, sexuality and more.

Up next is Breaking Bad. This show follows Walter White, a chemistry teacher, who falls prey to cancer, and has to turn to drug dealing to fund his therapy. With his super pure meth and his underworld ex-student, Jesse Pinkman, they rise up the drug food chain in his quiet Texas town.

Dexter also continues to draw great ratings each week. He is a cop in an LA precinct who has given himself a job description other than what is required in the department; he is a self-appointed vigilante and his target is serial killers. How long can he keep going before he is discovered for his murders? And what happens if they find him out? After all, he only kills serial killers.

Pretty Little Liars is also grabbing viewers' attention each week. Based on the stories by Sara Shepard, the show follows the lives of teenagers who grapple with the disappearance of one of their friends.

For a chic and stylish show, you cannot go wrong with Mad Men. Follow Peggy Olsen as she tries her best to shatter the glass ceiling in 1960s corporate America.

Finally, you simply can't miss Parks and Recreation. This amusing show follows Leslie Knope, Assistant Director of the Pawnee Parks and Recreation Department, as she endeavors to blend her unbridled adoration for the division with her less than ambitious boss and colleagues.

For those who havemissed 2013 TV, watch these shows and you will be all caught up.
